Open Logs in the Driver App, select the driving event, tap 'Reassign driver,' then 'Reassign to co-driver.' Your co-driver will receive a notification to approve or reject the request.
If a driving event was automatically recorded under your account but should have been attributed to your co-driver — for example, they drove while you were logged in as the active driver — you can initiate a driving time reassignment from the driver app.
When Reassignment Is Needed
In a team driving situation, both drivers share one vehicle but only one is logged into the ELD as the active driver at a time. If the vehicle moves while the wrong driver is set as active, that Driving event will appear on the incorrect driver's log. Reassignment corrects this attribution.
Steps to Reassign from the Driver App
1. Open the driver app and go to **Logs**. 2. Select the day with the incorrectly assigned driving event. 3. Tap the Driving event on the log timeline. 4. Tap **Reassign driver**. 5. Select **Reassign to co-driver**. 6. Confirm the request.
Your co-driver will receive a notification to review and either approve or reject the reassignment.
While the Request Is Pending
The affected log entry is locked for editing until the co-driver responds. See what happens to logs while a reassignment request is pending for details.
After the Co-Driver Responds
- If approved: the driving time moves to the co-driver's log. You will then need to re-certify your log — see re-certifying logs after a reassignment is approved. - If rejected: the driving time stays on your log. See what happens when a co-driver rejects a reassignment.
Fleet managers can also initiate reassignments from the Fleet Portal — see how fleet managers reassign co-driver driving time from the portal.
