Yes. Once the reassignment is approved, both the original driver and the co-driver must re-certify the affected day(s) in their logs.
Yes. Once a co-driver driving time reassignment is approved, both drivers must re-certify the affected day(s). The reassignment changes what each log shows, so the certifications for those days are invalidated.
Why Both Drivers Must Re-Certify
- The **requesting driver's log** no longer contains the driving event — their log has changed. - The **co-driver's log** now contains the driving event — their log has also changed.
Both changes require each driver to review the updated log and sign a new certification confirming its accuracy.
Steps to Re-Certify
The process is the same as standard log certification: 1. Open the driver app and go to **Logs**. 2. Select the day affected by the reassignment. 3. Review the current state of the log. 4. Tap **Certify** and confirm your digital signature.
Both drivers should do this as soon as possible after the reassignment is approved.
If You Don't Re-Certify
Uncertified or re-certification-pending logs may appear incomplete in the Fleet Portal and can be flagged during a DOT inspection. See why re-certification is required after any log edit for the general rule.
