Can a Driver Reset Their Own Password in the Route One ELD App?

No. Drivers cannot reset their own app password independently. Only a fleet administrator can reset a driver's password from the Fleet Portal.

No. The Route One ELD driver app does not have a "Forgot Password" link on the login screen. Drivers cannot initiate a password reset independently — only a fleet administrator can reset a driver's password from the Fleet Portal.

Why Drivers Can't Reset Their Own Password

The driver app is designed for use within a managed fleet environment. Password resets are handled by the fleet admin who manages the account, not by the driver directly. This keeps credential management centralized and prevents unauthorized access to driver accounts.

What a Driver Should Do

If you can't log in because you've forgotten your password: 1. First, check your email for the original invitation message with the subject line "Your Route One ELD driver account is ready" — it contains your initial credentials. See where to find your login credentials if forgotten. 2. If that doesn't help, contact your fleet manager and ask them to reset your password. See how a fleet admin resets a driver's app password for the steps they need to follow.

Fleet Portal Password vs. Driver App Password

Note that Fleet Portal accounts (for fleet managers) do have a standard "Forgot Password" flow on the Fleet Portal login page — see password reset for Fleet Portal accounts. This is separate from the driver app password, which only fleet admins can reset.
