Does Route One ELD Automatically Send the Driver Their Login Credentials?

Yes. After creating driver credentials in the Fleet Portal, Route One ELD automatically sends the driver an email invitation with instructions to download the app and log in.

When a fleet manager creates a driver profile in the Fleet Portal, Route One ELD automatically sends an email to the driver's registered address. The driver does not need to request it — it goes out immediately after the profile is saved.

What the Email Contains

The invitation email includes: - The driver's username (typically their email address) - A temporary or initial password - Links to download the Route One ELD driver app on the App Store and Google Play - Basic instructions for first login

The subject line is **"Your Route One ELD driver account is ready."**

When to Expect It

The email is sent within minutes of the fleet manager saving the driver profile. If the driver doesn't see it within 10–15 minutes, ask them to check their spam or junk folder.

What If the Driver Doesn't Receive It?

If the email never arrives — even after checking spam — the most likely cause is a typo in the email address entered by the fleet manager. The fleet manager should review the driver's profile in the Fleet Portal and correct the address if needed.

If the address is correct and the driver simply lost or deleted the email, a fleet admin can reset the driver's app password and share the new credentials directly.

Can the Driver Reset the Password Themselves?

No. Drivers cannot reset their own password from the app login screen. Password resets for drivers must be done by a fleet admin from the Fleet Portal. See why drivers can't reset their own password for more detail.

For instructions on what to do when credentials are lost, see where a driver can find their login credentials if forgotten.
