Open Logs in the driver app, select the day, tap 'Add Event,' enter the duty status, time, location, and a note, then save and sign the change.
If you forgot to log a duty status change — for example, you went On Duty for a pre-trip inspection but the log shows a gap — you can add the missing event directly in the driver app.
Steps to Add a Missed Event
1. Open the driver app and go to **Logs**. 2. Select the day that has the missing event. 3. Tap **Add Event** (or the "+" icon on the log timeline). 4. Select the correct **duty status** for the missed event. 5. Enter the **time** the status should have started. 6. Enter the **location** at that time. 7. Add a **note** explaining why the event is being added after the fact — this field is required. 8. Tap **Save** and sign the change to certify the addition.
After Adding the Event
Once saved and signed, the new entry appears in the log. If that day's log was already certified, you will need to re-certify it — see how to re-certify logs after an edit.
The Original Log Is Not Deleted
Adding a new event does not erase any existing entries. The full history of changes remains visible in the log. See what happens to the original log entry after a correction for how the audit trail works.
Within 14 Days
Drivers can add missed events for logs within the past 14 days. Logs older than 14 days are locked for driver editing. If a correction is needed beyond that window, a fleet manager must submit the change — see the 14-day limit for log edits.
