Log in to the Fleet Portal, navigate to Reports, select IFTA Mileage, choose the date range and vehicles, then export the report. The report shows miles driven per jurisdiction.
Generating an IFTA mileage report requires the Basic ELD plan or higher — it is not available on the Free plan. If you're on the Free plan, see why IFTA reports require the Basic plan.
Steps to Generate the Report
1. Log in to the Fleet Portal at client.routeoneeld.com. 2. Navigate to **Reports** in the main menu. 3. Select **IFTA Mileage**. 4. Choose the **date range** — typically one quarter (January–March, April–June, July–September, or October–December). 5. Select the **vehicles** to include, or choose all vehicles. 6. Click **Generate** or **Export** to download the report.
What the Report Contains
The IFTA mileage report shows miles driven broken down by jurisdiction (state/province). For each jurisdiction, you'll see the total miles driven by the selected vehicles during the selected period — the data you need to complete your quarterly IFTA fuel tax return.
Export Format
Reports can be exported as CSV or PDF. CSV is useful for importing into accounting or fuel tax software; PDF is ready to attach to records.
How Mileage Is Calculated
Route One ELD uses engine ECM odometer data as the primary mileage source and GPS to attribute miles to the correct jurisdiction. See how Route One ELD calculates IFTA mileage — engine data or GPS for a full explanation.
Verify Your Data First
Before filing, confirm that all vehicles were active and connected during the reporting period. Gaps in ELD connection mean gaps in mileage data. See what setup is required for accurate IFTA data collection.
