How Does a Driver Approve or Reject a Log Edit Suggested by a Fleet Manager?

The driver receives a notification in the Driver App. They can review the suggested change, then tap Accept to apply it or Reject to decline. The driver must re-certify the log if the edit is accepted.

Drivers review and respond to fleet manager edit suggestions from the driver app. Fleet managers can suggest log edits but cannot apply them directly — the driver must accept or reject every suggestion before anything changes in the log.

How to Review and Respond

1. Open the Route One ELD driver app. You will see a notification badge or pending item in **Logs**. 2. Go to **Logs** and find the day with the pending edit suggestion. 3. Tap the suggested change to review it. You will see the original entry, the proposed change, and the fleet manager's note explaining the reason. 4. Tap **Accept** to apply the edit, or **Reject** to decline it.

After Accepting

The edit is applied to your log. Because the log has changed, you must re-certify the affected day — see how to re-certify logs after an edit. The original entry remains visible in the audit trail alongside the accepted change.

After Rejecting

No changes are made to your log. The suggestion is marked as rejected. If the fleet manager believes the edit is still necessary, they can submit a new suggestion with additional context.

Why Driver Approval Is Required

FMCSA regulations require that any change to a driver's log be reviewed and agreed to by the driver. The driver's electronic signature on the log is a legal attestation of accuracy — a fleet manager cannot sign on the driver's behalf.
