Setting Up Third-Party Integrations with Route One ELD

Log into the Fleet Portal, navigate to Integrations, and generate or copy your API key. Then enter it in your third-party platform. Free plan integrations: Highway, CoverWhale, Nirvana Insurance. Basic plan adds: MacroPoint, Project44, TruckerTools, LoadConnex, Truckstop. Detailed steps are at helpcenter.routeoneeld.com.

Route One ELD integrates with major freight tech platforms to give brokers, shippers, and fleet managers real-time visibility. Here's how to connect.

Supported Integrations by Plan

Free plan: Highway (carrier identity verification), CoverWhale, and Nirvana Insurance. Basic plan: Everything in Free, plus MacroPoint, Project44, TruckerTools, LoadConnex, and Truckstop. View pricing plans.

Step 1: Generate Your API Key

Log into the Fleet Portal. Navigate to Settings → Integrations. Click "Generate API Key" (or copy your existing key if one is already generated).

Step 2: Enter the Key in the Third-Party Platform

Open the third-party platform (e.g., MacroPoint, your TMS). Navigate to the ELD integration settings. Paste your Route One ELD API key and follow the platform's connection wizard.

Step 3: Authorize the Connection

Some integrations require you to authorize the connection from both sides. Follow any confirmation prompts in both the Fleet Portal and the third-party platform.

Revoking Access

If you want to disconnect an integration, generate a new API key in the Fleet Portal — this invalidates the old key and cuts access for any platform using it. For connecting with TMS or fleet management software specifically, see fleet management integrations guide.
