How to Switch from Monthly to Annual Billing

You can switch between monthly and annual billing in your account settings. When switching, your billing date may change from the standard schedule to accommodate the plan change.

Switching from monthly to annual billing is straightforward and saves you money. Here's what to expect.

How Much You Save

Annual billing is typically 15–20% less per vehicle than paying monthly. For a fleet of 5 vehicles, that can mean $100+ in savings per year.

How to Switch

Log into the Fleet Portal → Account Settings → Subscription → Change Plan. Select Annual Billing and confirm. The change takes effect immediately.

What Happens to Your Billing Date

When you switch from monthly to annual, a new annual billing date is set based on the day you switch. You may be charged a prorated amount to cover the gap between your previous monthly billing date and the new annual start date.

Can I Switch Back to Monthly?

Yes, but the switch back to monthly takes effect at the end of your current annual term. You won't be refunded for unused months of the annual plan.

Mid-Year Fleet Changes

If you add vehicles during the year, they're added to your annual plan at a prorated cost for the remaining months. If you remove vehicles, the adjustment is applied at your next renewal. For complete billing details including cancellation and refund policies, see Route One ELD billing overview.
